Sick, Sick, Sick!!

Oh how I hate to be sick and give in. I have now officially given in and spent the day snoozing on the couch.  I so hate that we cut our holiday short to come home but I feel a little better being in my own home than a hotel room. I'm also upset that we didn't get to see my girlfriend.  It's been a couple of years and that's too long.  I will have to take a weekend trip to her house soon.

We did get to Calgary and go to the zoo. That was the major plan for this trip.  Casey absolutely loved it.  The best was seeing the elephants.  The prairie dogs also kept his attention for a long time as there were tons of them scurrying about wrestling and digging and popping in and out of holes.  By the end, we were all pretty pooped.

Even though I felt rough, I wasn't going to miss an opportunity to go to a scrappin store.  Scrapbookers Paradise, and paradise it is. Wow, I could have spent all day in there and tons of money too but Doyle and Casey were waiting so I had to keep it short and power shop. lol  For a little while I even forgot that I was sick. After that store I was done in for the rest of the afternoon.  Found some other stores in the yellowpages but nothing open on Sunday. :(  Next time I will have a better plan and a google map showing where they are and not be sick.  I think that would help alot.  I think Doyle was secretly happy that I was sick and couldn't go shopping, look at the money we saved :) lol.

I now have to get busy creating with my new found treasures and will post some things soon, or at least when I'm feeling better.

Now back to my couch . . . ttfn S
